Each new rental community starts with the drive to make it better than the last. We look critically at our past experiences and across the globe for inspiration to improve the experiences and wellness of the residents.


How We Do It

Podium has been a Tarion Registered Builder since 2006 and as a vertically integrated company (develop/build/asset manage), we benefit from the collaboration of our industry professionals working together to find the sweet spots for quality, efficiency and improvement. Our team is composed of individuals who each have excelled in their disciplines and have banded together to chase one goal, developing and building exceptional buildings and communities. We continue to grow our team strategically as we strengthen our breadth in the residential market. Like a true team we share our successes as well as our lessons learned throughout the process.

Podium is proud to be an employee owned company.

Our founders, Bernard Luttmer and Oskar Johansson, started Podium
Developments in 2004 after travelling the globe.


They experienced a range of different housing types and realizing a gap existed in the quality and management of housing back home.

Ever since those humble beginnings in Kingston, Ontario, they have made a point of learning from each new experience and striving to achieve better results at every opportunity. Those values are still a central part of how Podium operates to this day, and allows us to capitalize on new opportunities in multiple markets.
